HELP with this song!!!!?

There's this song that came out sometime around the early 90's. I have no clue who sings it or the name of the song. I only know one part of the lyrics and she says " i was standing at the corner" The beat kinda sounds like the theme song from "I dream of genie"..... It's not the one from Frank Loesser. If you have any clue who sings this song or the name of it please let me know. Thanx!!
