What is your opinion on teaching Creationism in public schools as an alternative theory to...?
I agree with you. But the problem is that most of those who think that Creationism, or Intelligent Design, should be taught along with Evolution don't understand science. When they hear that Evolution is a theory, they think that means wild speculation, and that any other wild speculation is equally good. They think that only proven facts should be taught, and that if there are no proven facts, than anything is fair game. The problem, of course, is that science is the process of disproving alternative theories, not of proving anything, and we really have no proof of anything!
