Do we have the right to...?

You don't have a "right" to stay because the terms of your lease are over. However, the landlord can't just throw you out on the street either. They need to go through a legal eviction process before they can do anything. I'm real sorry you are losing your apartment and I hope everything works out for you. I can tell you are kind of a victim here, too.
