Has US action in the Middle East made Iran stronger or weaker?

While it's true that the U.S. presence in Iraq has indeed bolstered the Iranian government, it's the Italians (the only ones willing to meet the Iranians terms for drilling oil), the Russians (building their nuclear "power plant") and the Syrians (joined hands in terrorism against Israel) that have made them stronger. The new "truce" between the Palestinians and Israel was severely tried and bruised yesterday when the Palestinians began a rocket and mortar attack against Israel -- they were sponsored by Syrian and Iran. So much for being all about peace.
