If I built a structurally sound log cabin, does it have to have electricity to be up to code?

I know that codes vary by area. But in general, what are the minimum requirements for a house meeting basic codes? Other than being structurally sound, I am planning on installing a wood stove (meeting requirements of course) using propane stove/oven and oil lamps for lighting. Would this be generally okay on your own land do you think? What else do I need to consider? Thanks for any suggestions!
